Seek the King

Christine is growing up; it had to happen, lol. My goal is to give our daughters and granddaughters a picture of healthy courtship, godly love and Christian ideals for their teenage years. Heaven knows there’s enough of every other kind of imagery out there in the world.

It feels like the world is turning upside down, doesn’t it? Suddenly homosexuality is mainstream, transgenders are in our bathrooms and soccer teams, and perversion is widely accepted. The need for godly example has never been greater.

What can you expect from Christine? A heart turned toward God, for she serves the King and basks in His presence. Expect her to be honest is admitting her faults. Expect her to feel confused by the tangle of emotions surrounding courtship. Life isn’t easy to understand, especially for our girls. She is a role model who girls will be able to relate to, someone girls may emulate.

Here are some of the things I love about her: She is a tomboy. Clothes and primping are alien concepts. She has a heart for the King and is learning to cultivate His presence. She is kind, and has a heart for common people, never seeking the favor of being royal. She never puts on airs. She is willing to be a handmaiden, shrinking into the background in her personal relationships.

Each chapter has discussion questions and scriptures for you to focus on with your girls. I hope you take advantage of these opportunities to discuss your hopes, share your testimonies and communicate your values to your girls. You are the example your daughters will follow, I am the storyteller who is helping to pave the way.

I hope to have it live in a couple weeks…Happy reading!
